Howdy all! This work is a from a large set of product photography I did for my friend Kat Ammann (http://www.cheshire-kat.com/blog/) who creates her own handmade jewelery and otherwise craftyness. Seems the cool photographers get to post ‘reject’ photos, or ones you wouldn’t normally submit for an assignment. I want to be cool, so I saw something interesting and m sharing it. Cuz I’m cool too.

Boy at Volleyball game

There were a lot of kids in the balcony overlooking the sectional final volleyball game I shot tonight. It caught my eye, just this one head popping out further than the rest.

I’ve actually been shooting a TON lately, but a lot of it has been for Judson so it’s not in my normal image workflow, ergo I tend to forget about them.

That’s all for now. I REALLY need to finish my homework, I’m already a week behind. Though that might have to do with the fact that I got all four bit of wisdom ripped from my head a week ago and am battling a dry socket and 8 of the largest canker sores ever.

Today’s title was taken from Angels and Airwaves “The Flight of Apollo” from their album Love, Part 1. I can’t stop listening to this album and Thriving Ivory’s Through Yourself and Back Again.

Crazy day! My wife got locked out of the house briefly with the baby inside, so naturally she went all “Jack Bauer” on our front door.

I got a last minute call to shoot the Sears Holdings Headquarters in Hoffman Estates for the cover of tomorrow’s (Sept. 30) Elgin Courier News. Awesome. Had a hard time getting to a good spot on the building, but I ended up getting there at the exact right moment. I’m super excited about the results, barely did any editing on these. First one is my favorite.

Today’s title is from the Queen song “Somebody to Love”; Excited that Marc Martel is getting huge exposure, he has an incredible voice: here and here.

Got to shoot some golf today! Especially on a day like today, it’s a lot of fun to cruise around a golf course in a cart, taking in the sights and taking some pictures. This was a little tougher of an assignment, as I had to get coverage for three papers and I took too many pictures (ha! what else is new :P ).

Moved offices at my full-time job and I now have my own office! Pretty cool, but I need to figure out some cool ways to decorate and fill the space. Everyone else in the office seems full of ideas, interior decoration is not my thing :P . Till next time!
